I have never been in so much pain in my life, and the exhaustion I felt daily was surreal.
I’m 48, and I got COVID-19 in November of 2020. At first, we thought I was asymptomatic – until day seven. Then the truck hit me.
I have never been in so much pain in my life, and the exhaustion I felt daily was surreal. I do have underlying conditions, but the funny thing is it didn’t affect any of them until months later.
To this day, I struggle with body and muscle aches, and some days getting out of bed is very hard. My asthma is very sensitive now, my kidneys don’t work properly, and did I mention everything hurts?!!! Doing daily tasks has become difficult and, some days, impossible.
I don’t find joy in anything I used to, as most of it causes me discomfort. I used to love riding motorcycles, going on long walks, photography, and being outdoors. It’s so frustrating when people are upset because I’m not myself and never want to do anything.
I have no insurance, and getting the testing and treatment I need is impossible. I feel absolutely abandoned.
