I tested positive on October 5, 2021. I suffered immensely with coughing and wheezing the first two weekends, I honestly thought I was going to die. As soon as Trinity would see me, I made them x-ray my chest and I had had pneumonia. I eventually lost my taste and smell. I had constant headache, diarrhea, fatigue, no appetite, body aches and severe coughing, and was listless. I did seek walk-in care, but I was disappointed in the lack thereof.
I am a strong-minded person, and I didn’t think this COVID-19 would get the best of me but it did.
I felt sick and I knew intuitively it was worse than the usual flu virus I get during the winter months. I asked for a rapid COVID-19 test and it came back positive. I was feeling stuffy, short of breath, tight cough, headache, runny nose, fatigue and body aches.
I kept getting the flu, so I was told to wait until I was well to get the vaccination.
Get vaccinated! I believe I almost died from the pneumonia, but I kept eating chicken noodle soup although I had no appetite, I knew my body needed food.
Yes. I have to continue with the nebulizer treatments and my lungs feel as though they’re never going to recover from the pneumonia. The worse part of the pneumonia is over, but I am wheezing and congested every day.
Yes, I will get the Pfizer vaccine against the COVID-19 as soon as I am able to. It’s been 1 month since I’ve been off quarantine.
